daughterd | From my experience wiz my father who has been diagnosed since 2005 but has pretty much lost everything now, the only asset that he never lost was his love to Jesus. In times when me as a caregiver would blame God, he will thank him. He is an amazing father. He keeps himself busy with continously listening to church preechings and speeches that give him hope for life in Heaven. My advice is pray a lot , do not ever lose hope. |

RCB | I retired in January 2008 and in February 2008 my husband (Bulldog) was diagnosed with ALS after an initial diagnosis of PLS. We like to scuba dive and hope to be able to do this together at least one more time. We loved to dance and take motorcycle trips but have to find substitutions for these activities. We love his kids, our grandkids, our bulldog, and our Westie. We are taking up swimming and yoga for fun and exercise. I need to get back into belly dancing . . . good exercise and Bulldog likes to watch -- lol. ;-) |

wyrancher | My husband was diagnosed with ALS in January 2009 at age 43. We manage a dude ranch together in northern Wyoming, just outside of Yellowstone. We met 20 years ago working on a dude ranch. We have been married for 17 years and have a wonderful family with two boys (13 & 8). My husband has the most amazing attitude and does not let ALS define him. I feel so blessed to be on this journey with my best friend. We like to say that this is not how we invisioned our Love Story but it is just Plan B! |

OregonWayne | My name is Kathy. I am 50 years old. I have been married almost 25 years to my wonderful husband Wayne, who has been in this community for a couple of months. We have one son, Trevor, who is 23. I work for the one of the largest charitable organizations in the country. I am their accounts receivable specialist. I see people with disabilities every day, but is has been quite different seeing the one I love so much battling the disabling affects of ALS. I love the countrysides, mountains and beaches here in Oregon. I love kitties (and puppies too). I also love rock 'n roll. |

CindyL | I am caregiver for my uncle Scott. He was dx'd in 2003 with ALS. He is doing well emotionally, although his disease is advancing quickly. We all look forward to a cure one day soon. 8/2007 Good news! Uncle Scott's progression has slowed down. He is now confined to a wheelchair and is on bipap. |

craigt46 | I'm a LPN and I have been in Home Health nursing for the past 18 years. I like getting to know the patient personally along with their family. Everyone needs support and the more you have the better for you. We have ALS in the family and it has greatly affected my life and the rest of the extended family's lives too. I just want to help. |
