Generic Name: Acetylcysteine
Acetylcysteine is the N-acetyl derivative of the amino acid L-cysteine. Inhaled acetylcysteine is prescribed for mucus-dissolving therapy as an aid in respiratory conditions with excessive and/or thick mucus production.
