Generic Name: Acetylcysteine
What is Mucomyst-10?
Mucomyst-10 is a brand name for acetylcysteine, mucolytic agent, used to reduce abnormal or thick mucous secretions; and as an antidote for acute acetaminophen toxicity. Off label it is used to prevent radiocontrast induced renal dysfunction and for distal intestinal obstruction syndrome.
