What is VAD Vincristine, Doxorubicin (Adriamycin), Dexamethasone?

Induction therapy for multiple myeloma transplant and non-transplant candidates. Vincristine and Doxorubicin given by IV infusion on days 1 through 4; dexamethasone given by mouth on days 1 through 4, 9 through 12 and 17 through 20. One cycle is 20 days and is repeated every 28 days for 2-4 cycles.
