What is Flumil?

Flumil is a brand name for acetylcysteine, a mucolytic agent used to treat abnormal or viscid mucous secretions and as an antidote for acute acetaminophen toxicity. Off label it is used to prevent renal failure induced by contrast dye and to treat distal intestinal obstruction syndrome.
