What is Amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium?

The combination of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium is an antibiotic in the penicillin group. It is used to treat otitis media, sinusitis and susceptible respiratory, skin and urinary tract infections. It is a useful alternative when amoxicillin resistance is present.
