What is Medroxyprogesterone Acetate?

Medroxyprogesterone acetate is a contraceptive used for endometrial carcinoma or renal carcinoma; secondary amenorrhea or abnormal uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalance; reduction of endometrial hyperplasia in nonhysterectomized postmenopausal women receiving conjugated estrogens.
