What is Hydrocortisone?

Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid. It is used for the management of adrenocortical insufficiency; relief of skin inflammation; as an adjunctive treatment of ulcerative colitis. It is available in various preparations including topical application, injection and intravenous depending on the purpose.
