What is Prednisone? Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that decreases inflammation and suppresses the immune system. It is used for many purposes including relapses in MS; for rheumatic disorders; neoplasms; collagen diseases. Prednisone is activated by the liver into prednisolone.
