Knee reflex absent Report

The knee reflex is the involuntary contraction of the quadriceps and extension of the lower limb when the patellar ligament under the knee cap is tapped. After the tap, the leg is normally extended once and comes to rest. The absence or decrease of this reflex is known as Westphal's sign.
