What is Lotronex?

Lotronex® is a brand name for alosetron, a selective 5-HT3 blocker. It is used for the treatment of women with severe diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) who have failed to respond to conventional therapy. Safety and efficacy has not been established in males.
