What is MPT 12 Cycle melphalan-prednisone-thalidomide?

Twelve cycle induction therapy for multiple myeloma patients who aren't candidates for transplant. Melphalan and Prednisone are given by mouth on days 1 through 4; Thalidomide by mouth daily continuously during 12 cycles or until sign of relapse. This is repeated every 6 weeks for twelve cycles.
