What is MPT 6 Cycle melphalan-prednisone-thalidomide?

Six cycle induction therapy for multiple myeloma patients who aren't candidates for transplant. Melphalan and Prednisone are given by mouth on days 1 through 7. Thalidomide is given by mouth daily continuously during six cycles or until sign of relapse. This is repeated every 4 weeks for six cycles.
